One of a kind journeys, crafted out of the finest ingredients, our itineraries are wrapped in passion and insight view, presenting an unmatched diversity of activities and experiences.

Day 1 - Rendezvous on Sibiu International Airport

A short commute to our hotel in Sibiu, after refreshments and a welcoming rest, we'll have an introduction of the upcoming journey and we'll start on foot to discover this beautiful medieval city through an insightful gastronomic and historic exploration of its secrets.

Day 2 - Sibiu to Sarmisegetusa Regia 

Will set forth to explore the kingdom of the mighty Dacians, the forefathers of the Romanian people. Strongholds hidden in the mountains since 1st century BC, "their extensive remains stand in spectacular natural surroundings and give a dramatic picture of a vigorous and innovative civilization" (whc.unesco.org). A traditional picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside one of this strongholds. On our way back to Sibiu we will visit a few other interesting sites, such as Corvin Castle a Renaissance-Gothic masterpiece and the fortified church of Calnic.​

Day 3 - Sibiu to Piatra Craiului "King's Rock" Mountains

Back on the move again, we depart early in the morning through the Carpathian Mountains, hiking to an impressive waterfall before heading towards the notorious Transfagarasan Highway. Criss-crossing the mountains we will visit the Stone Raven's  monastery and Poenari castle, the true castle of Dracula, perched high on a mountain top along the ancient border of Transylvania. Our exploration continues as we approach Moieciu de Sus area, our base for the next 3 nights.

Day 4 - Piatra Craiului "King's Rock" Mountains

Today we will experience the natural wonders of this magnificent area, hiking through its breathtaking landscape, visiting some of the traditional mountain villages while enjoying local culinary delights and reconnecting with nature in an authentic way. And because we find ourselves in the land of the mountain castles we have to pay a visit to Bran Castle, wrongfully dubbed as Dracula's Castle, nonetheless a very picturesque Romanian landmark. A welcoming traditional dinner will wait for us upon our return home.

Day 5 - The Royal Trail

We will start of heading into the mysterious Bucegi Mountains, since ancient times revered as a sacred place, nesting majestic rock formations known as the Sphinx and The Old Ladies. We then proceed visiting the Royal Castle of Peles surrounded by ancient forests and impressive through the riches it has accumulated. On our way back to Moieciu de Sus, we'll delight ourselves with a visit at the Royal Cellars, learning about the traditional way of making champagne and finding out its rich history.

Day 6 - Moieciu de Sus into Szeklers Land

A hearty breakfast and we leave behind the South-Eastern Gate of Transylvania to discover the untamed wilderness of this rich region. After a short visit of Brasov city and its famous gothic Black Church we will adventure into Ciucas Mountains, hiking through a magic corner of the Carpathian arch. The exploration continues with a visit to the well preserved fortified church of Prejmer, before we will rich Zabola Estate where our new hosts will wait for us with a delightful dinner.

Day 7 - Zabola Estate

One of the largest private wildlife sanctuaries in Romania, the custodians of this place will take us on a journey deep into their forests for wildlife observation. While keeping quiet we might admire the brown bear and maybe other species in their natural habitat. You will have the rest of the day to enjoy the spa and reinvigorate yourself with a welcoming massage, while adding a romantic touch into the evening.

Day 8 - Szeklers Land to Saxon Heritage

Before leaving behind the legendary Szeklers Land we must pay a visit to a traditional blacksmith in Talisoara and a family that for 15 generations dedicated themselves to creating world famous woodworking in Varghis. Our journey will take us into the heart of Transylvania and its Saxon heritage, where a charming homestead will be waiting for us with a superb lunch in the picturesque village of Viscri. Will follow the road into Sighisoara, one of Europe's best preserved medieval cities, arriving at Apafi Manor just in time for dinner.

Day 9 - Hartibaciu Valley

Today we will discover the cradle of the Saxon culture for more then 800 years. Strolling through delightful villages, admiring their time defying fortified churches, learning about various ancestral crafts visiting local workshops. A unique journey into the lives of passionate people who keep alive the authentic traditional villages will take us to Biertan, Richis, Mosna, Alma Vii and finally to Apos. Here visiting an equestrian centre and after an introductory lesson will horseback ride through colourful fields of flowers and wherever the perfume of the forest will stop us a lovely picnic will be enjoyed.

Day 10 - Farewell Transylvania 

Following a leisurely breakfast it's time to head to Sibiu International Airport for your departure. 

After you have learned the spell of freezing time at your will, while through your own living Tale of Transylvania helping us to keep it alive, we are favouring you to carry this precious magic with you everywhere you are.
